Our Mission:
We will help teaching artists/crafters and those who would like to learn new crafts to come together, via the magic of the internet, covering vast distances, without ever leaving the comfort of home.
We are Ilysa Bierer and Kira Slye. We started our business partnership over a year ago with the Polymer Clay Artist’s Guild of Etsy. Ilysa rallied the troops and Kira did the website stuff. After discovering that we both love polymer clay and live in Florida, we worked on Ilysa’s idea to create a weekly podcast devoted to polymer clay, which you can hear and see at www.polymerclayproductions.com. We started airing our Radio and TV show on June 1, 2007, and have never missed a Friday. We discuss news, do reviews & interviews, and some travel to different trade shows and polymer clay events.
Then, after the frustration of trying to both teach and take classes, but not wanting to travel, we decided, Why not bring teachers and students together, live, over the internet? It can’t be that hard…..those are always our famous last words! We started all of our online adventures without either of us knowing what to do. But like mom used to say, When there’s a will, there’s a way.
Ilysa is an award winning polymer clay artist who has supported herself in the past on the craft-show circuit, but is now settled down in North Florida. Kira is an art teacher turned web-designer, who now works for the Broward County school district as a videographer and online designer for their teacher-training website, and lives in South Florida.
